I was thrilled to receive a box of plants by courier this morning.  I love gardening and being able to help other people with various tips and hints.

Recently our garden was judged first in the small section, over 5 years category, a picture of which was shown in the Feilding Herald showing a picture of the giant cabbages.

A big thank you to Awapuni Nurseries for brightening up my day with the surprise box of plants.

Cheers!

Well, you have done it again, Awapuni!

Although we grow a certain amount of both Vegie and Flower plants ourselves, we have purchased many 'bundles' of your plants over the past years!

We have found that there is always a generous number of plants in each bundle, and best of all, they are so sturdy and easy to grow!

Back in May, we called at your nursery while visiting in Palmerston North and purchased 4 bundles of Wallflower plants. We found these plants beautiful and sturdy and some of these we planted in a sunny position, outside our dining room window in Upper Hutt!

Now, they have commenced flowering and we are so pleased with the variety of colour, that we just can't wait until they are in full flower!

What a show they are going to make!

These have got to be some of the nicest Wallflowers that we have grown.

Thank you Awapuni Nurseries!

We continue to enjoy success with our planting of your flower and vegetable "bundles" from our local New World store. On each visit we enjoy browsing through the whole array displayed most strategically at the entry.

The "Cosmos" planted recently have exceeded all expectations and are making the most amazing show beside our front door. The pink and cerise are just glorious.

Thanks you to all concerned in getting your plants to our area.

As you can see we have used a number of your seedlings and find the 'Mini Mixed Vege' suits us very well - they mature quickly and are just the right size. We only have a small garden around two sides of our unit.

Stan Falcon - Katikati

I live in the deep South Winton. A friend gave me some seedlings. I have to most wonderful show in my garden this year. Thankyou Awapuni Nurseries.

For many years I have bought Awapuni seedlings from our local supermarket. I've had much success over my fifty-odd years of gardening.

This year I've had a great bonus with Gloriosa Daisies! They have been flowering for months - apart from deheading they've had no special treatment. As I drive past to family in Palmerston North I wonder can I stop by and buy?

Many thanks

We have used Awapuni seedlings for many years. The labels may say 'contains at least 12 plants' but there are always more, often many many more! As we have now moved to a smaller sized section I sometimes struggle to fit them all in, depending on how many bundles I have bought that day. We buy vegetable and flower plants.

I would like to take this opportunity to say I always buy your bundles of plants. The last bundle I brought had well over the 12 plants. I only wish the New World here in Waihi looked after theirs better. They were rotten one time, then dry. The plants are usually in very good condition providing I get them when they first come in. I get all my vegetable, pansies, primulas, petunias and they are really great. Thank you for producing terrific plants.

By the way I get them from Pak n Save in Tauranga now.

Dorothy Stevens - Waihi

Have been using Awapuni seedlings since they first appeared in our supermarket. The most reliable vegetable seedlings I have ever bought. A wide selection is usually available. The Mesclun mix is a personal favourite.

I have less interest in flower seedlings being a fan of bold foliage but those I have bought have been most reliable. Penstemmons bought about four years ago are still flourishing. As an enthusiastic customer I have recommended your seedlings to gardening friends.

Purchasing the day the bundle of plants are delivered to supermarkets (Pak n Save - Woolworths).

Upon arrival home transfer to ice cream tubs containing potting mix - there they wait until it is convenient to plant out or replace a lost one, also after a shower of rain - especially with the drought this summer.

This method also gives the wee ones a chance to mature.

Great value for money.

Lobelia - all kinds, Allysum, Poor Mans Orchid, Nemesias, Brocolli, Cauliflower, Thyme.

Angie Forrestall - Waikanae

If you spot something strange, give it a try. I have never heard of Schizanthus till I saw a couple of bundles in the supermarket. "Poor Mans Orchid" sounded like my kind of thing. No big money to waste if they don't work. The photos show the result. Windy, shady or part-sun, amazing something so delicate-looking would not only survive but seed itself too.

Good luck in your 40th year.

For quite some years I buy from the Pak n Save garden girl 3 bundles of your plants each week. I have Primulas (of yours) all around my main gardens for Spring. I also ordered 3 pkts of Iceland Poppies and they are away laughing. Just ask Colleen at Rotorua Pak n Save what I get each week, and I have great success. At the moment I hope for a frost to end my now scraggy but colourful African Marigold and Salvias. My Asters were really lonely this year, also Sweet Peas. My husband is growing vegies in troughs, they are going well. He recently ordered Celery through Pak n Save and they are doing well. Last Thursday I got 2 pkts of Nemesia tall and tall snapdragons. Gardening is great therapy.

I have no hestitation in saying your plants are good in growing and the quantity fantastic - great value.

Keep up the good works! I love all flowers. They are all beautiful.

Mrs J Foster - Rotorua

I have been buying Awapuni seedlings for about 4 years from Pak n Save and I always marvel at the value I get from so many plants that are in each bundle. I must say the Sweet Peas are my favourites. One bundle is enough to cover my trellis and what a marvellous sight when they flower and the perfume is so lovely.

Congratulations Awapuni Nurseries on 40 years of service to gardeners. We have been buying bundles of your flower and vegie seedlings for many years with great success. Now we are pensioners our favourite bundle is the mixed vege pack. Just last week I bought from Levin New World the mixed cabbage, cauli and brocolli pack.

Many Thanks

(Mrs) Dawn Ewers - Levin

Am returning a few of last years labels. It's the first time I've saved them. Now if I wasn't satisfied would I go on buying them. The chap who mows our lawn was here today and was really taken back by the garden down the drive to the car park. Its a picture at the moment.... Then Pansies, Cornflower, Iceland Poppies and other of your plants.

I do the other side to next door but the ground is sour and nowhere near as good as our side. Its badly in need of manure.....

Garden, plants etc and really enjoy life, both of us at 80, so keep the plants coming and thanks a million.
